Around two hundred students will be trained in professions such as welding, operator of radioactive facilities and motor expert. The majority of the training programs will be taught at the National Reference Center for Vocational Training of Cartagena, a benchmark in the country in the field of chemistry.
The Navantia shipyard’s need to hire 340 workers to rejuvenate its workforce over the next four years has enabled the Employment and Training Service (SEF) to organize up to fifteen specific courses in jobs that the naval construction company will need to cover. Earlier this year, days after the management of the public company signed the Strategic Plan, representatives of the shipyard and the Autonomous Community of Murcia held a meeting to analyze the main training needs of the company.
The objective of these courses is to improve the chances of the students entering the labor market through high-level training, for example in non-destructive tests, one of the main branches required by Navantia.
