Refill of the frigate

On the morning of Tuesday, March 26, the refloating of the frigate Helge Ingstad began, which collapsed on November 8 after colliding with an oil tanker near Bergen.

Now, thanks to the predictions of five or six days of good weather, those responsible for the work have decided to start them; since previously they could not be completed due to bad weather conditions.

According to the forecasts, the frigate will be transported this weekend to the military base Haakonsvern, where it will be decided if it can be repaired or if it is chosen for the deshuace. Another possibility is to keep the material that can be reused for use in the other four frigates of the Nansen class, based on the Spanish F-100.
