Mrs. Amparo Alonso Betanzos
Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence of the UDC
Brief curriculum of the rapporteur: Ms. Amparo Alonso Betanzos is Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of La Coruña, where she coordinates the LIDIA group (R & D Laboratory in Artificial Intelligence). His research area is the development and application of Artificial Intelligence techniques in various areas, as well as Computational Learning and Data Science techniques (Big Data), collaborating with other national and foreign research groups. In 1998 he received the LÓreal-UNESCO Prize for Women in Science in Spain, in 2004 Galicia ICT Award for Innovation, and in 2019 Galicia TIC Award for Professional Career. He is a Senior Member of professional associations of international level, such as IEEE and ACM. Actually, and since 2012, she is President of the Spanish Association for Artificial Intelligence.
